After Peapurr crossed the Rainbow Bridge in
November 2005, Shawna and Jim were eager to share their home with more
kitties who needed homes. Two fortunate felines who were rescued from the
jaws of death by the kind folks at Gasow Veterinary fit the bill "purrfectly."
They are Cara Mia (formerly Taters),
a lovely calico with tortie/tabby markings who loves people and cries
loudly for individual attention (hence her nickname WOWa Mia); and Gobblin'
Goopuss (formerly Butterball), a
frisky black kitty with a loud and continuous motor. They
were officially adopted on November 28, 2005--when Cara
was 2-3 years old and Gobblin' was 6 months--and came home on December 4.
Cara Mia means "one joy" or
"one delight" in biblical Greek. Cara and Gobblin'
derive perverse satisfaction from frequent "cat spats" with one
another. |
